I have enjoyed many years behind a sewing machine. It started when I was 10 years old. I tackled my first sewing project… a triangular scarf for a 4H Club competition. I have been sewing ever since. I started sewing professionally in 1986. I love to sink into projects and personalize them for my clients. Everyone likes to know that when they get to the party no one else will be wearing the same outfit. It’s also nice to know you’re wearing a reflection of your personality and not the personality of the local store buyers. It’s not about sewing for me; it’s about sewing something special for you.

I have two wonderful children who have enjoyed my love for sewing. With more than 30 years experience, I have completed many different projects including wedding dresses, home decor and even a re-upolstered boat. Home and office projects include but are not limited to window coverings of all styles, pillows, bed coverings and wall treatments. There is no limit. I love new challenges and many fashion ideas come from finding creative solutions to problems.

Re-fashioning a favorite garment into something new is another part of sewing that I love. Alterations can turn a garment into a fashion statement with the right fit to make you look your best and hide your less flattering features.

I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma and look forward to adding you to my clientele. I have made outfits for clients in Maryland, Oklahoma, Nevada, Texas, Florida and North Carolina so you don’t need to be in Oklahoma to enjoy my creations.

    1. Hello Julie,
My sewing classes are designed to teach sewing skills the student can use. The children’s classes each build on skill while making something fun. Adult classes are tailored to meet specific needs and goals of the student. The curriculum is designed to be taught one on one, however; I can teach two or three at a time if there are groups of friends who want to learn together. There are classes for the beginner as well as for the advanced sewer who wants to learn a new technique or skill.

  1. Does your classes cover when, where and what is needed if your trying to learn the basics of sewing? When are the classes scheduled?

    1. Hello Meshell,
My sewing classes are taught in my studio and can be booked through my website. Go to the contacts page and click on “Book Now”. You decide when you want to take a class by selecting from the available dates and times on the calendar.
Anyone taking classes will learn the basics including what notions you need; how to use a sewing machine; how to read a pattern; how to cut, pin and assemble a project. Of course the student will not learn everything in one class but the more classes taken the more skills learned. Adult and teen classes are customized depending on the goals and current skills of the student.

  2. I go here all the time for my alterations due to a recommendation I got from other clients! Jacqueline is great! She usually has your stuff within a week, she’s really nice, and it’s not expensive at all. I’m so glad I found this place, she has altered and fixed many clothes for me and I appreciate it a lot. Fun shop and excellent price!

  3. You really make it seem so easy to sew with your presentation. It seems too complicated and extremely broad for me. I’m looking forward for your next post. I will
try to get the hang of it!

    1. Sewing can be complicated but it can also be fun. Take your time learning. Start with small projects. It is like putting together a three dimensional puzzle. A good practice for using a sewing machine is to draw lines on paper and then stitch over them with your sewing machine. This will help you learn the timing of your machines stitches and how to turn your fabrics. Best of luck and have fun with it.

  4. Write more, thats all I have to say. Literally, it appears you relied on pictures to make your points. A video or two would be great! You definitely know what you’re doing.

  5. I learned of this website from my friend. We are both very impressed with your work. Can’t wait to see what you do next.

  6. I am just extremely impressed along with your writing
skills as well as with the layout on your own blog. Is that this
a paid theme or have you modify it yourself? Either way keep
up the nice quality writing, it’s rare to discover a great blog such as this one currently.

  7. Thanks for one’s marvelous posting! I genuinely enjoyed reading it, you might be a fantastic author.I am going to always bookmark your blog and can eventually return from now on. I wish to encourage one to continue your great writing, have a nice evening!

  8. I’m amazed, I must say. Seldom do I come across a blog that’s both equally educative and amusing,
and without a doubt, you may have hit the nail about the head.
The problem is a thing that not enough women and men are speaking intelligently about.
I’m very happy i stumbled on this during my look for something regarding this.
